Aims of Australian Football Zimbabwe

-To develop Australian Football into a marketable mainstream sport within Zimbabwe.

-Improve disadvantaged children's lives by combining Australian Rules Football clinics with free nutritional meals and health days.

-To ensure participation among both sexes and present Australian Football as a sport that females can also play and participate in.

-Develop Australian Football into a positive influence amongst the wider community by implementing initiatives aimed at improving the lives of disadvantaged children, including those living in orphanages, on the streets and also those children with AIDS.

-Educate teenagers and adults on the skills and rules of Australian Football through manuals and clinics, including those for coaches and umpires.

-To gain domestic sponsorship in order to give Australian Football higher brand visibility within Zimbabwe.

-Communicate with AFL South Africa towards the development of Zimbabwe-South Africa matches and possibly a regional trophy.

-Develop a training gorup which will work towards being the Zimabwe Cheetahs. This will be done through talent identification, placing equal emphasis on skill and work ethic. All participants, regardless of their social background, will be given equal opportunity to represent Zimbabwe.

-Gain national media coverage within Zimbabwe on television, newspaper and radio. Doing this will not only improve the exposure of Australian Football, it will also make all participants proud of what they are taking part in.

-Play an exhibition game V South Africa in the 2011 Africa Games in Zambia. This would be a fantastic way to promote Australian Football on a large scale in Africa.
